poem feed (What is a feed?)

Of little things the day is built,
In puddled steps and tabled seats,
The bigger things are much too much,
But somehow of the little things.

They rise and loom and glower at the sun,
But dust they are and truly small,
In little prayers unveiled eyes,
They build from little things the man.

Poems written on this day in years gone by:

The gentle shakes of sunlight,
Land impotent on a sleepy cobble,
Tinting blue within a breeze,
At once laid thickly golden on the lamp posts,
The path draws starkly by the trees,
Embellishing a history with passers-by upon their roots.

Reasonable God,
You love to think and make,
You love to think of all creation and of dust to which you gave,
A mind to think, and a heart to love,
Love your ways and ponder your wisdom,
Consider your goodness and the work of your hands,
Consider your nature and the beautiful land,
Praise be to God the greatest thinker and king,
Praise be to God who's jealous and righteous for our thoughts.
