poem feed (What is a feed?)

Chaos in a friendly shade,
Refracting through a jovial eve,
Alive to chorus of warm laughter,
Bounces off the bricks, nestles in the crowd.

Poems written on this day in years gone by:

Tests that turn out better,
Gladly swinging into fun,
Cruel tricks to gentle teasers,
Friendly symbols in a sea
Of foreign words befuddled,
Even those dastardly questions,
That hide their shades behind
My incompetence hold signs,
To give a flash of inspiration
To hopeful shots into the night.

Counting the cost like loose change,
The coins seem to fall from my fingers and roll into the weeds,
Muddied and obscured,
Friends found and lost in part,
Help me to continue to show them love,
For you are sovereign, Lord,
I lift up such things to you,
You are worth it, Lord.
